Servicing
What does a service involve?
While the exact work depends on the type and condition of the watch, a full service typically includes
- The movement is disassembled with each component carefully inspected for wear or damage.
- The parts are then cleaned to remove old oils, dirt, and debris before the movement is reassembled and oiled using specialist watch oils.
- Any worn or damaged components are replaced where necessary.
- The case and bracelet are cleaned and refinished.
- For water-resistant watches, seals and gaskets are checked and replaced
